The growing number of refugees in Europe and the United States has created an urgent need for more sustainable, dignified, and humane housing options. War, climate change, and sociopolitical unrest have forced millions from their homes, and temporary refugee camps are often the initial refuge. However, the traditional tent-like structures commonly used in these camps are no longer adequate. They are neither weatherproof nor private, and they often wear out quickly. Therefore, the introduction of prefabricated housing is a solution, transforming refugee settlements into more hopeful places to live.
